I chose the song "All I could do was cry" originally sung by Etta James and later covered by Beyonce Knowles. There is not too much difference between these versions but, there are some subtle ones. Beyonce has emphasis on different parts of the song than Etta which I found interesting because Beyonce was supposed to sing as if she was Etta James. Eventhough Beyonce was supposed to sing the song like Etta James you can still feel the personality differences in the songs. Beyonce's version sounds very rehearsed like she is somewhat creating the emotion she wants to to evoke, but Etta James' version is very raw, it feels as if she has been in the situation before.
